| #145: Mikael Fyrek / I can finally see what darkness looks like |
Kahvi is extremely happy to welcome mikael fyrek - acclaimed ambient artist - to its shores. a familiar name to those of you who listen to di.fm chill channel, mikael agreed to release an exclusive four track ep on kahvi. each track is an entity unto itself, lovely sounds, flowing moods and cheerful vibes - ranging from the ambient 'goodnight nobody' to the `music box` style 'bathing in a river'. an extremely enjoyable and emminently listenable ep, every track strong in its definition. |

You production technique and actual compositions amaze me! I have been traveling to many places thanks to your music, and it has enriched me in many ways. Submarine Light is my favorite, although the whole release is so good.
Your moods are mysterious and fascinating...

as feedback is so rare these days, i just wanted to let you know that i like the ep from a lot. i listened to it quiet often and think that it is besides migloJE one of the best kahvi releases the last half year! i also used one of your tunes in my last dj-sets. you will be able to hear it at SINNsitiv.de and zerinnerung.com quiet soon!!!
yours,
marc aka baumgeist. | | Quad341 wrote on 01/05/08, 9:44 pm | though this is the first thing (that i remember) hearing from mikael, i was a bit suprised. it started off very interesting, provoking the senses as it would seem... but i lost that intrigue and interest before the final note. There is no doubt that there is much quality, but the variation and feeling of life was lost for me. I still think the release was good, but i may have wanted perfection out of just an experienced artist | |
