#201: Url / Octopus City
M3U FMP3  Tracks : 8

Url returns with the first release of the new year - an excellent example of url's style and quality, dark and moody with original beats and savage textures. url has gone a different direction for this ep, moving away from the more mainstream idm and mixing in purely gothic styling (satyrs for example). Favorite track of this release is certainly rhodetry salvage. A great start for 2007.

Get it. Download it. Burn to CD. Turn out lights. Press Play. Lay back. Listen. Repeat.

Thumpin' moods.

Got a bit forum lazy, but this release is good like crazy. Sunday afternoon, I should be playing with my son, but can't stop listening. Also sound- & mixing quality is top notch, by the way.

This is very beautiful release, it's very original and has the right soundscape to create that moodiness. Some tracks, like Satyrs make you feel a bit down so I at least needed a break to listen the songs again.
I really enjoy this ep, really do. Satyrs is the best bit for me.

Cheers mate :)

Great release!
Satyrs is my preferred [that whispered (b3 ?) organ on the background, the bass groove at half track and the arpeggios are really hypno-cool], but Rhodetry has incredible pro-arrangements and a very well done chill atmo (expecially in the first half).

thx url :)
