Aking the collective in a different direction, kilowatts, who also appears on diffusion records (alpha conspiracy), provides some beat driven tracks for your pleasure. this release is aimed at being fun and enjoyable, hence the curiously named track names. as kilowatts says 'this release contains 4 pasta-inspired breaks tracks, drenched with marinara, and covered in mozzarella cheese.' along with the beats goes a subtle idm melodical and sentimental edge - a refreshing change from the usual. welcome kilowatts.
I love that release, drum and percusssion are particularly interesting.
Very very nice.
Also, it is weird to associate pasta with music...but it is a great idea.
I say it cause that I'm an italian guy!

The mere naming of EP and its titles made me very curious - that sounds very humourous and self ironical, high vices in my personal system of values. I tend to frown a bit if a piece is called "Dark thoughts of integral loneliness" or so ( But I like stuff that sounds like dark thoughts of integral loneliness, BTW). And indeed, Kilowatts does not disappoint. No endless monotonous patterns, but highly creative and funny pieces with that ironical Matthew Herberts blink and lots of positive energy. Definetely thumbs up for that release.

Pasta is a favorite of mine, so I loved the title of this release.
Really nice tracks. I'm liking the last one in this release though; probally because it showed up in the kahvi break. ;)
The first is definately a nice taste of something different on kahvi. :)
I gotta comment on more of these releases.

second MINT. Great vibes surround this ep, yet how they were influenced by pasta, I have no idea.
Other than that, I love it, thumbs up from me. 8)

Great tracks, and sharply produced. The track names let it down a bit but that's just a personal thing guess, but for my 'taste' (mmm...pasta), "Ravioli Rave" is a bit of a lame title almost to the point of putting me off listening initially. Still, I suppose having eaten all those beats perhaps Kilowatts has his tongue now firmly in his cheek.
All that said, interesting theme and a good vibe. :D
