Possibly a familiar name to some of you, madstyle has featured on a few netlabels around the net - finally ending up here on kahvi with a super ep. excellent production throughout, a certain aspect of perfectionism can be found, highly detailed tracks with an elektro/ambient edge - and some sentiment added for extra spice, this one is for you idm heads out there! listen and remember the summer warmth and spring rains. |

it is a beautiful album and
the sound are in a very good quality,
i cant get enough from these emotional music,
so ambientlike -but also very crispy and the beatsruktur is
realy elegant, soft but very good.

Morphing Structure - This is a layout of what is to come in this ep. A cacophany of off beat and odd, cutish sounds swirl around a very interesting pad. Definately intersting composition.
Colourful Autumn - Lovely little song that made me smile. Quirky plucks and nice smooth sounding electro stabs really lay out a warm feeling on this that has just the right amount of tempo and tambre. Can you see the leaves fall and turn in the wind? ;)
Loop On - A bit more of a trancish track layered with a good beat and some classic (cutoff filters?).
Being of Nature - The name kindve gave away it being an ambient track. General stuff you would expect. Nothing amazing here, other than the interesting pick up in beat that comes later in the track.
Soundcascade - Reminds me a bit of Esem the way this song goes about itself... A tad rough yet sentimental. Happy, yet sad, yet not sad. A good track with a good impression.
Bascal Control - Whoa, some deep throaty sounds are in this one. Interesting yet the rest of the song is something that we havent heard before from earlier in this ep.
Fresh Green Leaves - Starts out minimalistic then builds in texture and color. A nice cool, crisp way to end a warm and generally "feel good" ep. On with the first impression review..
1st Track - I remember this from the kahvi breaks. A nice track to listen to, although I guess since I heard it before, not much impact.
2nd Track - Interesting beginning.. will it be a scratchy track? Nope, slowly going into some beats. Overally nice, but nothing much to get excited about.
3rd Track - Ok, picking up a bit here. Has many classic elements in here, really helps this track along. The beat seems to be a bit fuller too. Ending is quite suddent.
4th Track - Seems to be a ambient track at first, then boom, we get some noise. Mid-way, yep, it's ambient. Ok, decent. I guess not too much to say.
5th Track - More Ambience. Then as ussual we put a spin on things eh? I can't really describe this track.
6th Track - Nice Bass on this one. Uhm.. yeah.
7th Track - Ok, ambience alright. I guess I'm just not in the mood. Nice bass again, and nice overall feel.
I guess I really didn't review this release well. Overally it's a good release, but I guess I'm not always into ambience. I'll loop the release over a bit, perhaps post a revised review later. | | |
