Another release, another guest artist. atmogat is an artist you may have come across before - those of you familiar with the netlabel scene especially. nice qualities and techniques are apparent throughout this ep, a five track exploration of industrial edges and ambient sounds. verging on the harder edge of the idm spectrum, atmogat creates deeper themes within his tracks, with added chords and that slight sentimental edge that we at kahvi adore. a nice premier for atmogat - enjoy! |

As examples, check out Fieldtriqp's Old Haunts album, and some Berestez and Planet Boelex (without Lisa's Antenna ;).
However, I like your percussions/beats-- good work-- and did keep one song; 'Feelings Inside'.

Sadly, I'm not a huge fan of autechre. ...Small doses only.
That said, I will say that rain ii is one of the better songs I've heard of late, and made the whole download _well_ worthwhile. Very cool, dark rhythmic track. Right up my alley.

Give me another 3 months to become attatched and this ep could become one of my top 10 all time favourites. "Rain ii", sends memorey chills as it begins , reminding me of Autechre's "Nine" from their album Amber. Sounds remind me of the sensitivity of past IDM - before the genre became a churning machine for elevator electronica artists to get an album released on label. highly reccommend this ep as a whole piece of work - the tracks work perfectly together creating something else unto itself. | | | | Micksam wrote on 01/05/08, 5:01 pm | | Nice.
