#301: Yimino / Selected works
M3U FMP3  Tracks : 7

Finally, its time for the Kahvi Christmas release 2010! Its taken a year of negotiation but finally Kahvi successfully managed to secure an exclusive release from probably the greatest new IDM act to come out of the UK since Boards of Canada - A duo known as 'Yimino'

You've got 7 tracks of pure IDM bliss, heavily influenced by Boards of Canada, Bola and Autechre. Textured, simple beats and some of the most addictive vibes heard this year on the label. Listen, and weep!

Selected works consists of the following tracks from the named albums:

1. Firen (reading edit) - Bulbuss
2. Apone Fenex - Qeh 2004
3. No Gamet - Autonoe Vora *EXPLICIT*
4. Squeeze me - Autonoe Vora *EXPLICIT*
5. Piper - Breaker
6. Bintliptick - Breaker
7. Moflek - Doe EP

Tracks of choice: Firen (perfect introduction to the EP), Apone Fenex (Spine chilling pads), Squeeze me (Warning: Explicit lyrics), Piper (Fabulous Bola-esque track) All albums can be purchased directly from Yimino's own label 'Ominim' at the following URL: http://www.ominim.com/

What are you waiting for? Get over there, but the entire back catalogue. You wont regret it and it will surely secure another exclusive @ Kahvi sometime in the future. So, for this year, Kahvi wishes you happy vibes and Merry Christmas!

An Excellent release that needs to be in any IDM lover's collection. From the Ethereal 'Firen' to the more chill 'Piper and 'Bintliptick, it's easy to try and compare Yimino to something you would have heard from prestigious labels like Warp Records or Skam (and no doubt has been influenced), but this is reallly something all it's own that somehow manages to stand on it's own and still please the ear. Go listen!

That's an innovative music landed at kahvi straight from the future! If I had to imagine a background music played in a club of a far distant future, well,I'd use Yimino music in order to going along with my own imagination
